What Does the dress code Cocktail Attire mean?

Cocktail attire is a semi formal style where the appropriate clothes are a beautiful dress, a nice suit or a smart one piece. We’d love you to dress your best, in colourful clothes and looking well put together.

You don’t need to wear a Tux, and the dresses don’t need to be floor length either.

Hopefully it goes without saying, but please try not to wear white.

Will there be Parking?

If you are choosing to drive, there is ample parking for your car, and you will not be charged for this.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Except for one or two very small exceptions, we are having a child free wedding, so we do kindly ask that you leave your children at home. I hope you will still be able to attend, however I do appreciate this may be challenging for some.

do i have a plus 1?

The invitation was addressed to the people we have invited to the wedding, and so if there is no plus 1 on the invitation, this means you are not allowed to bring one.

i have (insert specific) dietary Requirements, will I be able to eat the dinner?

We are aware that a number of our guests have different dietary restrictions and while you may not be able to eat everything, there will always be something for you. The foods you’re able to eat will be made obvious, and it’s important for us that you enjoy it.

can I take pictures of the wedding?

We would love you to take lots of photos of the day, and then share them with us later, as we can’t be everywhere. However we do have an incredibly talented photographer and we are very keen that she be able to do her job to the best of her ability.
Therefore, during the ceremony, we would appreciate people keeping their phones to an absolute minimum, so that the photos she captures show the people, and not their technology.

Will there be an open bar?

We will have champagne and soft drinks at the cocktail hour, as well as ample beer and wine during the dinner for everyone, however during the afterpart you will need to purchase any extra drinks you may want from the bar area.

what time will the party end?

The party will end at 1am, and there will be a late night meal served in the evening just before, so that no one goes hungry. We hope you are able to stay up and celebrate with us, but you’re always welcome to retire early too.

do i need to come on the friday?

While it’s not mandatory to come on the Friday night, we would love to have you with us to celebrate the entire weekend, and there will be a welcome party and food for the night as well.

What should I do if i want to give a speech?
